Carole is a nurse epidemiologist, infection prevention expert, and transformational leader with business administration training and over 14 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is the Founder/CEO of Dumontel Healthcare Consulting where she helps healthcare leaders build resilient, cost-effective infection control programs through organizational engagement, program optimization and leadership development. She has helped healthcare organizations reduce HAI rates by over 33%, achieve cost savings exceeding $1 million and earn Magnet recognition through program optimization and organizational leadership activities. She developed and currently leads the Powerful IP™ Coaching Program, a structured coaching and mentoring program for new infection preventionists, that has been featured by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) for its innovative impact. She is passionate about helping organizations succeed in their journey to survey readiness every day! She has helped healthcare organizations reduce HAI rates by over 35% through antibiotic stewardship activities and compliance training. She is an international speaker on infection prevention and regulatory compliance. Joi currently serves as the Miami-Dade chapter president for the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
